Christmas 2011 at Dad's and with Trevor and Devun

Apparently, Collin walked right up and sat down on Santa's lap and started talking. He was intrigued by Santa. He also thought that the big Christmas box was great fun. He didn't need a toy, just a box. It reminds me of the days when Tom and I used to play in the big Levi's boxes at the back of the "old store" on Thousand Oaks Blvd. We, too, had lots of fun with boxes!

I left the day after I returned from Medford to see Trevor and Devun in Mammoth. I needed to take advantage of the lack of snow and open passes. Devun is exactly three months old in the pictures. He is doing really well and doesn't look like a premature infant. Trevor is enthralled with him, as you can see. He really wanted to take him fishing, but we ran out of time. The visit was short, but it was good to see both of them. I met Trevor's boss at the restaurant where Trevor works, too. Trevor loves working there. If you happen to go to Mammoth, try Skadi's. The food and ambiance are perfect. It is on Old Mammoth Road, right in town!
Tom, Danie, and I joined Dad at his home in Medford for Christmas. We had a quiet Christmas. Mardi joined us on Christmas Eve. We were able to meet Mardi's son Peter for the first time. After hearing about Peter for years, it was good to finally meet. The hit of Christmas was the cookies Melissa sent to her grandfather. Melissa spent Christmas with her grandmother in Pomona. Heather, Josh, and Collin were supposed to be in Medford, but Josh was in too much pain to travel! He is feeling better now, but the recovery from his knee surgery has been longer and more painful than expected.
